The Schwab Insurance Story

Schwab Insurance was founded in 1993 by Lt. Col. John S. “Sam” Schwab, III. after he retired from serving in the the United States Army for 25 years. Sam started as the first Nationwide Insurance agent in Tarrant County. Several years later Sam’s wife, Leslie, received her license and joined the agency.

After 8 years as a captive agent Sam and Leslie made the decision to move to the independent side of insurance. Here they were able to offer multiple leading insurance carriers, provide better competition and service for their clients.

Our carriers include AIG, Allstate, Chubb, Foremost Insurance Group, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Mercury Insurance, Progressive, Safeco Insurance, and Travelers Insurance.

Schwab Insurance New Beginnings

On January 1st, 2020, after 26 years, Sam and Leslie retired and passed the reins to their son, Tim Schwab. Tim started in 2006 as an administrative assistant until he became a licensed agent in 2007. He worked his way up from administrative, to customer service, to sales and finally management before he took ownership.

During those years, Tim developed an acute awareness for client needs and the importance of building relationships. They are the essence of the agency’s foundation.

Combined with a skilled and experienced staff that works proactively to maximize the level of service.
